Ok, so I finally got out on my Sportique yesterday (long story as to why it's taken a while - I won't bore anyone now ! ) and after a few rusty gear changes all seemed well ......... .......... but then it began ramdomly cutting out/losing power resulting in me getting a lot of practice with the kickstart ! It has a nearly full tank of petrol and when it was running, ran sweetly, so does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem is, or at least where to look ? I thought it might be a blocked fuel line, but then surely it just wouldn't start at all ? Cheers SB

try running it without the air filter , it might need cleaning . also check air hose for obstructions . also coil maybe breaking down or points may need adjusting or changing . also check for worn components in the carb . or there maybe an oil seal gone .

certainly sounds fuel related, but you never know! clean carb jets out, check fuel line and for dirt/rust in the tank. Andy Lines is the man to see though really!
