yep, I'm on the 11am ferry friday so will be at kite hill by lunchtime, and all set up. Guess we're all meeting somewhere up t'hill Friday night, Crown the favourite? ferry was earlier than I usually go, but I got the wrong end of the stick when talking to the In Crowders and thought they meant 11am FRIDAY, silly me! Wouldnt miss friday night anyhow, apart from regrets not going to peterborough! That leaves Bridlington and Warmwell for the rest of the year as Wolie is definitely out.

Do you go all the way to Brid on the ginger GP ? hmmmm, leaving aside the obvious wind-up, as its been called yellow and orange but never Ginger! Yes, Brid all the way on the GP as long as she is still performing flawlessly by then, remember I still have my PX getting decidedly more upset by not being used! Anyhow I want to maximise my LCGB points, and make it worthwhile for those making an effort to see others who also care about the clubs points! Alan and I are planning on doing the journey up in 2 stages on Thursday/Friday and coming home in 1 day on the way back. Its a long way (280 miles?) but do-able, I certainly did 350 miles in a day in France this year although their roads are FAR better it must be said! and being 'peages' (tolls) they were empty too!

hey Ginger! not getting at any one in particular and YES! hats off to all the scottish brethren who do stupid miles to EVERY rally, club gets same points whatever the mileage from every UK rally as well you know! Mileage only actually counts int he event of a tied place! Just decided to get a Lammy and try to rack up some points to support Nita as she cares deeply about the clubs place especially as we were well up there a few years ago! (should have seen the smile on her face at Stratford with 6 of us there!) its good 'Kudos' for the club, it may not pay any bills, and we may well have absolutely no chance of approaching Modras/Darlo in the top 2 but we could fairly easily get within the top 5 EVERY year and that is fair and justified, its argued that this sort of 'advertising' is good for the club individually and lambretta/Scooter riding. Everyone has different takes on it dear boy, and I respect that, just wish everyone would sign on anyway!

FWIW if Alan didnt want to stop over en route Id be leaving Chipps at 4am friday and doing it in one day to Brid! Actually on reflection next time we do a euro lam of that distance (600 miles each way) some of us in our group thought a few more days travelling gently and actually seeing some of the more interesting bits of the journey would be better!

I only asked as I might do some more 'epic' journeys next year and wanted to pencil in some dates. I don't mind the milage, but I do mind going it alone. I've done a few 2 - 3 hour plus jouneys now and I'm doing IOW today. Will see how it pans out.

well, you can probably count me and Alan in as we intend to more further afield next year (even if this means less overall in my case!) Eurolam is, sadly, out as I have promised to go to Elba instead (not by scooter though), wouldnt mind doing some northern rallies in company of course, very boring going to rallies on your own!
